mrebviesWhen Emaar Development chose Dubai Creek Harbour as their next bold vision for Dubai, they had a world of architectural genius, Abu Dhabi architects and top Dubai architects at their fingertips. To narrow their selection, Emaar Properties commissioned three of the world’s leading architect firms to submit their design vision for the 10-building waterfront development named Dubai Creek Cove. Studio KHORA in Miami is proud to one of the three Dubai architects’ firms chosen to compete. KHORA’s design is part of pre-construction phase one.
Needless to say, Studio KHORA is proud our visionary work has been recognized by this preeminent developer, Emaar Properties. Although our firm’s accomplishments are highly regarded in the U.S. and especially South Florida, it was our KHORA portfolio that brought Emaar’s invitation from their Senior Manager of Development for Dubai Creek Harbor. The developer felt the award-winning contemporary designs featured on our website perfectly aligned with the architectural style they envisioned for their high-profile development.
For readers who might not be familiar with the developer Emaar Properties,’ you will probably recognize two of their widely known developments because of their historical proportions. These are Burj Khalifa which has been the tallest structure in the world since late 2008 and The Dubai Mall the largest mall in the world by total area. Emaar developments are a significant contributor to the architectural beauty of the United Arab Emirates
Equally impressive is Emaar’s Dubai Marina which is an artificial canal city built along a two-mile stretch of Persian Gulf shoreline. Aside from dockage for the world’s largest yachts, Dubai Marina accommodates more than 120,000 people in residential villas and towers.
Emaar describes Dubai Creek Harbour as an iconic waterfront development. This mixed-use development of monumental scale is situated on the banks of the historic Dubai Creek only 10 minutes from downtown Dubai and the airport. Dubai Creek Harbor will also be home for the world’s second tallest tower at 3045 feet. Completion is projected for 2020.
Luxury lifestyle, spectacular cultural offerings, and monumental architecture are characteristics of The Emaar group’s boundary-pushing projects. So, you can see why Studio KHORA are so proud to be a part of their bold new vision for Dubai.
You may ask, what impressed Emaar about our company?
Our awards are a clear testimony to our architecture design achievements. Among those are:
• Top 50 Coastal Architects by Oceans Home Magazine for the past SEVEN years, (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018. 2019, 2020, 2021)
• Twelve national American Institute of Architects (AIA) awards.
Additionally, Studio KHORA has been recognized for successful joint ventures in previous Middle East projects including Ajmakan, a proposed mixed-use project in Riyadh Saudi Arabia, which encompassed commercial buildings, villas, palaces and a five-star hotel.
