Fat Louie’s is a pool corridor that boasts local grungy/heavy material acts and individual karaoke rooms. It is concealed up three flights of stairs on Albert Road in Brisbane Town and isn’t somewhere you would fall across upon a drunken escapade. Throughout the week regional corporate clientele wind down over several stubbies and activities of snooker and on weekends the crowd is certainly caused by made up of students who look like they’ve raided their grandparent’s closets. Who said grunge was lifeless?
Having existed in Brisbane for over ten years I had been aware of Fat Louie’s but haven’t been for the most evident purpose that I’m a totally improbable snooker player. Recently I ordered several girlfriends to move and take a look at one of their individual karaoke areas and I must record our experience was rather fun. The Karaoke rooms have groovy couches and disco lights to have you in the temper, the technology isn’t that new but the wide track collection and cheap space hire costs are a massive bring card. We used the space for just two hours which was certainly long enough to warm up our oral chords and time positively flew.
My warm suggestion is make sure you purchase a couple of beverages at the bar at any provided time specially if you have a group on, usually you could invest your whole night waiting to be served. Live regional companies enjoy equally Friday and Saturday evenings therefore it’s super busy and you could experience extended delay occasions for snooker tables. The design and vibe of Fat Louie’s is not any extras therefore if you are looking to comb shoulders with Brisbane’s great crowd keep seeking! But, if you wish to sink several seven balls and hear with a regional works or employ your own karaoke space then look no further.
