Before changing the filter you must find out whether it is the right time to replace it or not because if you change it before the due time then you are surely wasting your money. So check out for the signs and symptoms. Here are some of the signs you should look for. When your filter is full then it sends out a pungent odor like vinegar or any other similar odor. This is mostly because of the growth of microbes on the dust that gets accumulated on the filter. The next thing which you should notice is the air flow. If you find that there is clogged air flow and the space doesn’t get proper conditioned air then it is time to replace it.
You must make sure that the air filter you are purchasing gives you optimum performance because that is surely going to have an impact on your health. Make sure that the one you are purchasing is of high quality and gives you maximum protection against dust and particulates. The filter should be able to trap particles like dust, lint, pet danders and smokes. Now during air filter replacement you should also consider the area where you live. It is so because the degree of pollution varies from place to place. If you live in an area where the pollution is low then a disposable panel https://trufilter.com/products/bnx-20x25x1-merv-13-pleated-air-filter-made-in-usa-4-pack would be fit for your filter. But if your living area is highly polluted one then probably you’ll need a filter with higher MERV rating.
Air filter replacement is an important issue because if it is not done in proper time then it could lead to several other hazards. So when you need replacement then take out time and find a company which sends you reminder every 30 to 60 days and remind you to replace your filter on time.
