If you’re looking for a phone with style, then you won’t go wrong with the RealMe 5. With that six.5 inch screen, a tiny bezel, some well placed bezels and just a touch of some sharp curves, the RealMe 5 can certainly stake its claim in the fashion-phone department. The styling is nothing special, and the 1, 600 x 720 HD screen is not the best, but do not feel you’ll be embarrassed to carry the RealMe 5 out of your bag. This phone has all the features you’d expect from a fashion phone, and it comes with a long battery life which should last you through many a busy day. You also get a fast processor, a memory expander, a decent camera and some nice futuristic features like a calendar, clock, barcode scanning, Bluetooth, USB cable and an LED light ring.
The RealME five is not without its drawbacks though. The first problem you’ll find with the RealME five is that unlike some of its competitors, this one does not have as many customizable options. Apart from the bright pink color of the device, this smartphone does not allow you to assign ring tones or themes, so your phone will always look like a walking toy.
In the same vein as the above problem, another shortcoming of the realme five is that it lacks any sort of notification center. Although you can assign several ring tones to your phone, this feature was one of the highlights of the HTC Desire HD. You can get the same ring tone on the RealMe five, but there’s really nothing special about the way it works. Another downside of the realme five compared to the other two in the Indian smartphone market is that it has a relatively short battery life, which may prove to be an issue for people who need to multitask a lot on their mobile phones.
realme 5 One of the best features of this smartphone is its front and rear cameras. The rear camera of realme five has a larger resolution than what you would get from the average smartphone. It is capable of taking pictures in a resolution that is similar to the cameras on high end smartphones like the iPhone. On the downside, this feature means that you will have to pay more for this. Despite this, the front camera of realme five is just okay; it’s good enough for most people.
The speakerphone of this smartphone also has a slight issue. Unlike the realme five, some users find that the headset jack of this smartphone does not work very well. For those who are using a USB cable, you might have to use a different adapter than what you are used to. Other than this, the microphone of realme five works just fine. The manufacturer recommends though that users are ready for the lack of microSD card slot on this device, because those who use this phone mostly with microSD card will feel the absence of this accessory.
In a nutshell, the realme 5 review cannot fully recommend this phone as one of the best smartphones available. If you want something with high resolution and great battery life, then the $400 price tag may not be something that makes this phone superior from other smartphones. The battery life of this device may not last long enough for you to enjoy all the things that you can do with it. If you are looking for a smartphone with top notch camera performance, excellent camera functionality and great gaming capabilities along with a stylish and sleek design, then the handsets from Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and others may be the best options for you.
