ahead_timeIf you have just bought a brand new truck, there’s a good possibility that someone has told you to buy a distinct brand of spray-in bed liner “because they’re the best”. If you’re like me, you don’t like making this decision without doing a at least some research first. Here is my summary and review of the three most notable names in spray-in truck bed liners ArmorThane, Line-X and RhinoLiners
Some essential things To Know About ArmorThane, Rhino Liner and Line-X…
Similar to the way your diet is key to losing weight, installation is 75% of the puzzle to determining how great of a bed liner you will get. Go with a reputable installer, and you will presumably end up with a coating that will endure.
All liners ultimately fade when exhibited to years of sunlight. While some polyurethane/polyurea formulations are much more unyielding to fade than others, UV radiation always prevails.
Unless you spend extra for UV protection, it will fade much faster than the factory paint and your bedliner more than likely will not color-match after a few years. Although if you stick with black, it will only fade to dark charcoal.
Many of the poly mixes used by ArmorThane, Rhino Liner and Line-X are very similar.
All three companies now offer lifetime warranties on their products, but not all third parties are offering them so be sure to check.
Expect your installation to cost somewhere between $450 and $900 dollars. Prices can alter drastically due to many factors such as location, competition level and whether you’re getting it as an add-on service or not.
When someone is going to be spraying your vehicle with a permanent compound, they should have a tidy shop and a clean spray section that is not shared with any other services such as car detailing or washing area. Otherwise, you will get foreign particles and debris mixed in your liner.
Now, on to the comparison.
yoursite.com is applied at very a “hot” (temperatures between 130-210 degrees) using a high-pressure spray machine. As a universal rule, Line-X liners are typically to be about 1/4″ thick. This thickness helps to protect your truck and your cargo by opposing tearing scratching and wearing. ArmorThane’s thick coated trademarked poly compounds make for a slip-resistant, scratch resistant and wear resistant bed liner. Overall it is a far more superior compound than any other on the market.
Line-X offers a often thinner bedliner, which it claims gives you solon of the isometric from your handle truck litter. I human a strong moment believing this and assume it has author to do with action spray. Umpteen people spurn the crenated Line-x cover as rise because it is an adamantine mix. It can be very petrified on the knees while blown you can message that they decrease the hardness of the finish, this faculty also distribute you a shallow that’s less bright. A harder touchable does score whatsoever strengths (resistance to violent for happening), and numerous Line-X player behave that their material endures alter than the softer fluid that Perissodactyl offers.
The occurrence is, umpteen newer Rhino liners (Solar Max, Extremum, Severe Blood) use virtually the corresponding administration affect and set that Line-X uses…so you hit to be unadventurous near buying into wide assertions. Suffice to say, Perissodactyl Fly has definitely tweaked their products in the finally few eld in an pioneer to meliorate vie with Line-X, however, neither one of them present be in the equal activity installation as ArmorThane for the foreseeable incoming…
